Got my Crab yesterday, but customs removed the pedal to change the channels and let it bounce around and destroy all the preamp tubes. Somehow the power amp tubes survived
So, I placed an order for some 12AX7's and hopefully they'll arrive relatively quickly.
One question, how do y'all remove the amp from the chassis correctly? I need to make sure there's no glass shards on the board.
Effed around…. May or may not find out. Incoming Ukrainian Mark EDIT: Here!!

Damn... that's bogus!
There should be four bolts on the bottom that hold the chassis in place.
Most amps have four chassis bolts and four leg bolts, but a few amps secure the chassis with the leg bolts.
Keep the amp upright (in playing position) and hang one end off the edge of a table and remove two bolts from underneath... then, hang the other end off the table and remove the remaining bolts.
After removing the bolts, the chassis should slide out.
Hope this helps!

Yeah my Peavey 5150 uses the leg bolts as the chassis bolts too. Same principle.

There are four bolts on the bottom, so that'll make it easy. I'm thinking about doing this in the garage, so I can easily sweep out any glass shards.

She's alive!!!!
I only managed to dial in a clean tone briefly before my daughter ran me off (Fortnite princess over here) and I was astounded by the clarity and shimmery clean it was. And there was zero hum coming from the amp, completely no buzz or hum. My Randall head, rocktron power amp, and lunch box orange amp all hum, but this......zero.
I can't wait to play with it more, but we can add this to another positive review

I think I spoke to soon. She does run quiet, but when distortion is kicked in, then I hear the buzz. I guess I should be thankful for a well grounded house wiring, but man, the silence was golden.I'MAPUNKROCKERDAMNIT wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 6:45 pm Glad you got it running!!! I plugged my PolyEffects BeeBo into the effects loop and it was clear as a bell. No wonder some folks get wrapped up into pedals, because I cannot wait for my distortion pedal to arrive (specifically for this amp).
Also, for those that got this amp, have you found the Mark III to be cleaner than the IIc+? I'm super enjoying it right now.
