I've had a D tuna on my LTD since 2000. Blocked or dive only is the best stability wise. I missed bending up so I hacked my guitar to compromise. I have an ESP Arming adjuster and a route for the tuner. It's as close to stable as I can get, yet still not perfect.

FWIW, an old band mate has a Wolfgang special and when he drop tuned, our guitars went out of tune. This thing is a fickle mofo.

$1100 and they have a Special? If they don't have the same spacing/dimensions as a normal Floyd, that'd be a hell no, but I believe they do, so a bit of money to upgrade it to something great shouldn't be much of an issue.
