Any preamp pedals I should check out?

The Other Place (TGP) is trying to convince me not to get a JCM900 Studio not because there is something better at that price point, but because there are better things at higher price points, and because the Studio series "is basically a Made in Vietnam DSL" (I am slightly paraphrasing and being hyperbolic, but that's the jist of it). Lol

I loved my SV20 but seeing inside was extremely underwhelming. TGP says that bc the transformers are the same they use for all of their 20 watt amps (origin, DSL, etc) and the boards are made and populated in Asia. The amps are simply assembled in the UK.

So much for "Made in England" like the amp says. Lol

Yup they just plugin the molex connectors. Great sounds but yeah I wouldn’t want to gig with it.

Nevermind on the Studio series then. I may just abandon the idea of getting an amp for the office.

Look for a used Fuchs Mantis 89. I borrowed a friends 20 watter and it was great.

I don't really have an issue with the Asian Marshall amps, I've gigged the Vietnam DSL a lot without issues.
But the price is a different story, I don't think the 20w 800 should cost 2x the price of a 20w DSL for example.

Yeah the price is my issue. Otherwise cool amps for sure.

Spaced Out - just buy an SLO100 and be happy.
