Re: Show Dem Boards
I forgot about the Super Phat Mod, I have a buddy who loves his boss blues driver, so I might have to check out the Phat Mod. I've read the custom mode on the BD-2W is actually the super phat mod.

Re: Show Dem Boards
I hear it’s pretty much the same mod. I found a used Keeley local and bought it because i didn’t want to wait for shipping on the Boss. Glad I did. I’m a big fan of the Keeley version even in stock mode. Maybe one day I’ll try the Boss version to compare if a friend gets one but the Super Phat Mod has become one of my favorite pedals.

Mostly just have experience with the Keeley Compressor Plus. Best comp of all time as far as I'm concerned. The only truly "always on" pedal I've ever owned weather its clean or brootz or anything in betweengreatmutah wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 6:06 pmI’m probably gonna be getting his comp sooner or later. Also interested in that Andy Timmons Mk 3 drive.spawnofthesith wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 5:17 pmSweet I'll have to look into that. I love Keeleygreatmutah wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 2:28 pm
Bro. Get the Keeley Super Phat Mod. It’s so good. You can find them used for less than a new Waza. Same mods but I think Keeley also tweaks that circuit a little.![]()

Yeah, Super Phat Mod is a great pedal and Keely makes killer stuff. Would love to try one of the Timmons Mk 3 Drivers at some point and I’ve been considering an Angry Orange or Super Rodent too…

I'm probably moving away from the IR-X on my board. Trying to pair a boost with it is mostly proving to be a pain in the ass, as the AD or DA converters (perhaps a buffer if there is one) seem to be distorting.

Re: Show Dem Boards
I need to do some cable management underneath, but I pretty much have this board completed. The Friedman IR-X is cool by itself, but didn't do it for me with boosts. I am using the GT-1000 Core for effects as well as amp modeling, but bypass the Cab Sims. I run into a Fryette Power Station PS-2A and a Mojotone British 412.
The Morningstar MC8 covers turning off and on effects in the patch like a pedalboard. I am contemplating a second midi cable (Boss midi out to Morningstar midi in) so I can change the options on the Morningstar when I use the down/up switches on the Boss GT-1000 Core.
Patch wise, there will likely be a clean patch, a medium gain patch, a higher gain rock rhythm patch, and a lead patch. My first patch so far uses the Boutique amp, which might be a Dumble or something. It can get pretty high gain with the gain switch (currently set to go from medium to high), overdrive (blues OD which I think is a Bluesbreaker), and solo switch.
Boutique will likely be the light to medium gain patch with the three options above bypassed. I'm thinking the Supreme will cover higher gain stuff, while maybe one of the Fender style amp models cover cleans. I'm not sure what I'll use for the lead patch.
I am using a Truetone CS7 power supply to power the Cry Baby Mini, Strobostomp HD tuner, Morningstar MC8, and Boss GT-1000 Core. The EMG ES-918 has batteries (though I hate the way it is implemented, as it making mounting to a pedalboard difficult), and the Mission EP-1 doesn't require power.
