Hello, came back to leave some information about the test.
I used AMT SS-20 "send" channel into Fender Hot Road. And it is still way too loud. Couldn't go above 9 oclock. But, i also tried the "output" of SS-20 to compare. And it was even louder.
So "send" is obviously quiter than "output", but not enough to solve the issue completely.
Thanks everyone for helping.
Problem. My pedal preamp is too loud for amps.

The line level switcher is really the correct solution for this....SnakeSkin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 2:56 pm Hello, came back to leave some information about the test.

But also the Hot Rod is a loud 40w amp. If you're trying to get power tube saturation, something like a Blues Jr would be a better option (if you're sticking with Fenders).

Not really necessarily to be a Fender. It is just what we've got at the rehersal studio so far.

I'd suggest you look for an amp with a Global master volume in the power amp. The HR volumes are preamp output levels so the power amp runs wide open at all times.
If you have an amp with an actual power amp volume control, you can plug your AMT into the FX return and control the overall loudness with the Global master. A good example of an amp like that would be the Laney Ironheart series.
