Yeah man this guitar is sick!! I love this type of "sandblasted" finish on ash, it looks incredible. I've never played a Hapas or ever seen one in person, but all the reviews and comments about them are great.
I didn't notice it was a bolt-on neck until now. Really cool how they made the heel, it looks just like a set neck heel.

Yeah man, I’ll add to the positive reviews. It has that handmade feel. I agree about the neck heel. You wouldn’t even notice it was bolt on while playing. I played it at practice yesterday and the whole band was blown away. It sounds damn good!! The pickup has a ton of output but it doesn’t get squishy. It’s fucking tight and pissed and apparently they designed their pickups largely around the low end response, and I have to say it is basically perfect.

The guitar has zero neck dive. It sits right where you want it to on a strap. Perfectly balanced. My hands go right where they’re supposed to. And I normally don’t like the hipshot bridge but they set this up to feel great! It’s also surprisingly light but somehow doesn’t feel like a toy like most lighter guitars I’ve had. I think the overall weight just sits right in that sweet spot of 7-7.5 lbs for me.

The neck is killer too. Feels awesome. Plays super fast.

Plus it looks so brutal haha.

Super happy with this guitar!

I think I need to try out some Ash body guitars. The only one I have here is the Tele EJ made for me, so that's different but even with the single coils I can tell there is a cool tightness to the bottom end.

Wow, they actually put the strap buttons in a logical place. Most other brands just put them anywhere. Gibson places there's all over the damn place, then you'll have to move them so the guitar doesn't dive. Good on them for putting it in the right spot.

IDK, I never found most companies to put their strat buttons in a wrong place. I don't agree that Gibson places there all over the place. From the Gibsons I've had, they've always been in the same place, though I don't personally think the inside button was in an ideal spot, it was always in the same spot, and I've typically moved that a bit closer. ESP used to follow the Gibson placement, but after the lawsuit in the 90s, that changed to a better spot. Jackson always placed them in the best place, I think, and this follows that. This is actually really close in size to the King V.

I've played it at a couple of practices, now, and it absolutely rips. I love the pickup. Going to order another one and see how it sounds in other guitars, too.
