Maxon OD808X for me. It just works so perfectly for boosting a high gain amp.

Yeah, you can never go wrong with an OD808. I still have mine. I use my OD808X with my Revv Generator 120 MKIII and Engl Savage 120 MKII, since the OD808X has a little more output and less of a mid hump. I still use the regular OD808 with my main practice rig, which is a Revv G20 and a matching 1x12.

Re: The end of Marshall USA price gouging.
Mesa got stupid with their pricing for sure, but even with Gibson money, aren’t they still technically a much smaller operation than Marshall? I also recall Mesa was having some trouble keeping up with demand during the height of the ‘rona, so I would imagine that had a part in their price increases...

Re: The end of Marshall USA price gouging.
I also heard some rumblings that the new owners are getting rid of their amp stock and killing off all amps Marshall does make a lot more money from headphones sales these days but they're NOT killing off their amp line, quite the contrary, there are some really cool things coming up in the near fu...

Re: The end of Marshall USA price gouging.
I also heard some rumblings that the new owners are getting rid of their amp stock and killing off all amps, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I know there was that recent soundbite about how the amp sales only make up about 5% of the current revenue, but that just sounds dumb that they would just ...

Re: Engls...
I bought a Savage 120 MKII last November (which I never did a proper NAD for on here ), and I absolutely love it. While my Revv Generator 120 MKIII is my “lifer” amp, I definitely don’t regret buying the Savage at all. That lead channel just does the brutal high gain thing so well. The clean ch...

Re: The NAMM 2024 thread
I have a MKIII Revv Generator 120, a Revv G20, and all 3 of Revv’s G Series distortion pedals. I even recently acquired an ENGL Savage MKII. I still want the new Revv G50.

Re: Media button test
I love this new feature. By the way, that’s from a gig this past Saturday I played, which was a one-off show for one of my old bands.

Re: NGD
I really dig the overall look on both guitars. By the way, what happened with the Mark VII? You seemed to be really jiving with that amp.
