Well, in that case, lets get this party started.

I haven't tried one, but I don't think it sounds like a real IIC+.

Spread the word.

Re: IIC+ Reissue is out

I give it about a day before someone who's never played a real IIC+ says they tried one and it doesn't sound like a real IIC+.

Re: I had always been skeptical of pine bodies

I've had pine before. No complaints.

I think it's biggest issue is that it doesn't stain as well as alder or ash?

Re: I Got Signed, LOL

I think I'll start my own label, then sign myself.

Joking aside, years ago one of my bands put an album up on CDBaby, which distributed to iTunes and whatever the Android version of iTunes is called. It did feel pretty legitimizing, however you'll get zero sales with zero self promotion.

Re: Before you know it I’m gonna be wearin taped eyeglasses

Passive pickups change their frequency response depending on how much cable they have hanging off them. The more capacitance, the further it pulls down the knee. A long enough cable will make a single coil sound thicker and a humbucker sound muddy. PRS being PRS, he likes things to be consistent and...

Re: Guitar Player magazine

Guitar mags became irrelevant around the time that forums started to pick up. For the most part, forums were more honest and had better information. They'd tell you what someone actually used instead of what they were trying to shill to a clueless public, and if someone was bullshitting someone else...

It made sense in my head at the time.

Re: Getting modern with Cioks

I replaced my old PP2 (OG, no +) with a Cioks SOL. Works great, seems well built, 660w taps, no complaints.

No complaints about the PP2 either. It's around 20 years old now with zero issues, however the 100w taps were starting to become problematic.

Seems every year I read about BOTR a week or two after it's done.
