Re: Crab Amp Broke

My jubilee has the EXACT same problem. I have to keep a little patch cable connecting the send/return jacks if I'm not using anything in the loop. No idea what caused it and too lazy to take it to a tech. The amp still makes sound when the patch cable is removed but it's much quieter and sort of cut...

Re: New member and a Larry amp demo

Welcome aboard Brandon! Welcome!!!! The clip sounds great!! Setting aside all the controversy that usually surrounds Larry amps, the fact is he builds a hell of an amp. Especially when you put it in a mix . I feel like this whole statement is the norm rather than the exception when it comes to the s...

NGD - Another Schecter LOL

I reviewed this thing back a few months ago after having gigged with both of the PRS SE Piezo guitars and this thing absolutely SMOKED the two PRS's IMO. https://c.l3n.co/i/DRYLmv.jpeg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlUfDBW6E4A Plays better, faster neck, better upper fret access, better pickups for...

Re: NAD

Man I've been eyeing these hard. Crazy low price on (from everything I've heard) a really solid amp.

Only thing stopping me is that I want to hear the 20w JCM800 first. I know it's a lot more expensive but... you know...

Bad take. My Korean SVSS is on par with my old Prestige.

Re: NAD - Yall made me do this!

I recall a video from when the first version of the Kraken was released, in which Rabea mentioned that its voice was designed to resemble two of his favorite amplifiers: the DSL on the crunch channel (though I'm not certain about the mode) and the 5150 Block Letter on the lead channel. Yeah they da...

Re: Issue with my Schecter?

IMO, having a good luthier do this type work is always worth the cost. I haven't noticed an overly sharp edge on mine FWIW but if that's the only real gripe, its worth having him at least roll a little on that 1st fret for a few bucks. I've never had a single guitar that didn't need a little massagi...

NAD - Yall made me do this!

I caved... :o https://b.l3n.co/i/u0JHg5.jpg My amp of the year last year out of all the units I reviewed and took on stage and the one amp that I couldn't get out of my head when taking any other amp on stage (yes even the Mark VII). There's just something about the voice and structure of this amp t...

Re: NGD

Hell yeah man! Yeah I love mine. I didn't like the stock pickups for stage use (they had a squealing feedback like they're not potted or something) so I changed those out. The Floyd 1500 is ok but the fine tuners have a rough edge on the locking screw that the gotoh 1996T's dont so I put one of thos...

Re: I Screwed Up

I played a 5 band show that had a Marshall Jubilee in the backline. The guitarist, in the band before us, put his amp on top of the Jube and unplugged the speaker wire (from the Jube) so he could use the speaker cab below. He had left the Jube on, without the speaker wire connected, throughout his ...
