Re: The Tonemaster Pro has really impressed me

It sounds good. But modern modelers always sound good by themselves and on recordings. Do you have any videos of the live gigs with it? That would be a better test for me. I've used it for 5 shows. One of them was using their FR12 FRFR and it was great too. Not amazing but really solid for the $600...

Re: Incoming HX stomp...

Anyway, try the H90 before your return window closes on the HX stuff. It blew the L6 stuff out of the water, especially for delays/reverbs/modulation/pitch shifting stuff. I can't speak for OP I looked at the H90 but the main things that turned me away was other than the high price was that I don't...

The Tonemaster Pro has really impressed me

Disclaimer - Zzounds sent this to me to try out for a few weeks and then send back to them. Not sponsored and not paid. Back story: I owned the AxeFX III for a year, downsized to the FM3 and used that for a year, gigged with a helix LT for 6 or so months, spent over a decade with the kemper and a f...

Re: Incoming HX stomp...

Easily the best line 6 device they've made in years. The price, what it can do, the durability of it and the updates they've made over the years are all just 10/10. It was my effects unit in the loop of my amps on stage for years. It would run reverb, some EQ if needed as well as noise gate and foot...

Re: Guyker tuners: very good inexpensive hardware

Good to know they're decent parts. Their marketing reached out to me for a sponsor video but right now, all my guitars have locking tuners on them (Hipshots).

If my daughter ever gets back into playing I may have them send me a set for her Harley Benton and do their video for them with that.

Re: The UAFX ANTI pedal is ridiculous

I know you’ve got a crap ton of stuff but if you can get a good deal on a Peavey 5150/6505 or 5150II/6505+, grab one. I’m still a big fan of those amps. I just bought a slightly beat up script letter version a couple months ago and I’m super happy to have it back in my stable. I did like the Stealt...

Re: The UAFX ANTI pedal is ridiculous

It sounds decent but with the added high end fizz that is typical modeling. With the 5150 that's more forgivable because the actual amp has a good amount of fizz already, so it's not really too far off. But it's still there though. Yeah I've always associated that fizzy top end with the 5150's DNA ...

The UAFX ANTI pedal is ridiculous

I grabbed this thing on a whim. I've never actually played a 5150 so it was kinda my first experience with this circuit and IMO it sounds really good but that's become par for the course with the UAFX pedals. Yeah really long video but I really wanted to explore what all this unit can do. I put time...

Congrats! I loved mine as well. It just didn't do enough different when put up against my Jubilee or my Nitro.

Re: Randall Smith FIRED from Mesa??

I'm waiting to hear back from a couple of people who would have credible info on it but if it's true, yeah kinda what Raf said, I've been a part of these buyout's and mergers and the leadership of the company being bought never stays. They will stick around to make sure the transition happens and af...
