I guess there's no way add 5-10 saved presets that are midi switchable?

So I bought a 50s wiring harness for my LP, one of the volume pots is very scratchy, I've already had it cleaned a few times, I think maybe when my buddy was installing the harness he might have dropped some solder in there. So what's the secret sauce recipe to getting a killer DSL sound? I know that it involves a SD-1, what are the other parameters? Also, any advantage in using a Waza SD-1?
