Re: Mesa reissuing the 90's era 2-channel Rectos

Heard elsewhere SRP is $3499. I'd consider that price for the IIc+, which is impossible to find used, but a 2 channel recto? That seems a little steep. Apparently, this is the Rev F circuit, which is supposed to be different and more coveted. I'm not a huge Recto fan so I don't know much about the ...

Re: Problem. My pedal preamp is too loud for amps.

Is there a master volume control on the Hot Rod Deluxe that you have? I see they've made several versions of this, it seems, as the most recent version appears to be the Hot Rod Deluxe IV. If it has a master volume, that may need to be adjusted on the amp. The master volume on the HR is before the ...

I don't think I ever used 9-46 but I can see myself liking that as a good compromise between 9s and 10s. I'll buy a few sets and see if I like them.

Re: Used to like 'em stiff and hard, now I want 'em loose and floppy

I use 9-42 on 25.5 scale guitars and 10-46 on 24.75 scale guitars. E standard most of the time. I play in Drop D sometimes but not often. I've been thinking about going 9-42 on everything just to make things easier. My playing is not very sensitive to string gauge tbh. I can play pretty much the sam...

Re: Problem. My pedal preamp is too loud for amps.

Easiest solution would be to get a level switcher like this:

That will bring your preamp down to instrument level and make it easier to use it with any amp.

Re: Rockman pedal

I knew a really good EVH player back when I was in high school and he had some Rockman stuff going into the front of a Marshall of some type. Back in the late 80's, I only knew that it was a "Marshall" but not the specific model. So would that just be some type of boost? No it's not a boo...

Re: What are your thoughts on thin body "lite" LPs?

Yeah I was supposed to go see it last weekend but we canceled because of the weather. I'll go this weekend. The price is really good, but I can't wrap my head around the idea of a thin LP that is not a Special or Jr. I like SGs too. I've had several over the years. Wouldn't mind buying another one.
