Re: Here's some Rage Bait

i heard whoever wrote the johnny carson theme show got $900k a year for the rights lol Ian Lewis from Inner Circle lives off the COPS theme song. Over $20M in royalties or something like that. He licensed the song for $2500 plus royalties, best deal of his life lol Roku TV now has a COPS channel wh...

Re: Here's some Rage Bait

Would anyone say that, a large majority of today's music. for advertising, television and movies, is written, composed and recorded in an office on a computer, with no real musicians or real instruments except for vocals and a keyboard controller? I can't remember the last time I saw a movie or tel...

Re: Here's some Rage Bait

Is AI song-creation software a threat to real musicians? Maybe it will be in a few years... especially, if all those AI bands on Spotify start to take off. It's definitely a threat if you're doing commercial music for advertising etc. That will go away soon. If you're an artist releasing albums tha...

Re: Here's some Rage Bait

Yeah I copyright everything before releasing it. Technically, you don't need to, the copyright automatically applies upon release so if you have any kind of timestamp for the release you can use that in a civil case. However, having an actual copyright file number makes things easier because it allo...

Re: Here's some Rage Bait

He probably has a ton of money tied in it and he's trying to push it as "the future". Which makes me think it's probably not being as profitable as he hoped it to be. The cost of developing and maintaining AI is astronomical. There is a big chance that they won't generate enough subscriber...

Re: Here's some Rage Bait

What I'd *MUCH* rather see is an AI focused on being a recording engineer and/or a mix engineer so the DAW can get the fuck out the way while I play my shit. That's undoubtedly going to happen. Some of the AI mastering that's already out there is pretty decent. AI will get into DAWs for mixing etc ...

Re: Here's some Rage Bait

Oof. the guy is an idiot. He has a point about the drop out rate being very high. I've been teaching guitar since I was 16 and I've seen this first hand. Out of the several hundreds of kids I taught over the years, maybe 50 kept at it and 10 actually got any good at it. But that's the "na...

Re: NAD - Mesa Mrak VII

I'm dying to try this amp out, I still haven't found one local.
How do you think it fares against the JP2C?
