Re: Premier Guitar mystery stocking is available today
Well, it wasn't a box of complete sadness but it wasn't exactly a box of joy either. I got a $50 Stewmac polishing kit, which is actually pretty cool for people who like to clean the fretboard, polish the frets and keep their guitars shiny and pretty. I hardly ever do any of those things. I al...

Re: Premier Guitar mystery stocking is available today
Box of sad. That's pretty much true. I did ok last year. I got a cool baseball cap, a gibson multi tool, some strings and some assorted worthless odds and ends. I was happy with that. Its silly fun but I'll keep my fingers crossed. Somebody has to win that cammo guitar strap and it may as well...

I would get one but I spent all my gear money on a Jimmy Crespo signature BC Rich. Dammit.

Re: Another "Please help me decide" thread
Good choice, IMO.
I've played several of the Nick Johnston models and I like them. I hope you like gigantic frets, they will be pretty big. Thats the thing I remember most, big frets with easy bends.
On the downside, a few of them had switching or volume/tone pot issues

Re: SG Players: which is worse, a headstock or a neck joint break?
Thanks for the input, fellas. Good info. The damage wasn't severe and the repair is solid, so I'm not going to worry about. No fretboard damage, no jagged breaks. But...I could spend a little more and get one with no damage, which is a completely different topic. Its a 2001 model and the guy is aski...

SG Players: which is worse, a headstock or a neck joint break?
I have a line on a 61 reissue SG with a repaired neck joint break. It doesn't look to have been a violent break and the repair looks good. Its really just a couple of solid cracks but it didn't actually break or shatter any wood. How serious is this issue? Is it comparable to a headstock break, wher...
