Re: New Gretsch Synchromatic line
I'm down for that White Falcon  I like that they are doing this. I've been wanting another Gretsch, but I wanted something higher than an Electromatic, but I just can't bring myself to pay that much for the Professional line. This is a great in-between line. Seems odd they have it, but Grestch...

Re: WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING TO LATELY???
Speaking of the Clash, I saw this band recommended to me on YouTube and I'm excited for their new album. They definitely have that feel to them.

Fuck it, I'll post the Dinosaur Pile-Up song I meant to post. Is it weird that I like they make it clear they use Laney amps

Tube rolling on my Jet City 50H and rediscovered an old trick...
I haven't played around with the preamp tubes in my Jet City 50H since 2018 and decided to do some tune rolling. I discovered I have Tung-Sol 12AX7 in V1 and V2, a EH 12AX7 in V4, and Mesa tubes in V3 and V5. No idea how the Mesa tubes ended up in it. I mainly only use the crunch channel on the 50H,...

Lambrini Girls. Awesome punk band from Brighton, UK. I have friends that caught them at Punk Rock Bowling last weekend and they say this band absolutely slayed! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7BfivzIreo&t=685s Teen Mortage. Awesome 2 piece band originally from UK, but got big in Baltimore/DC a...

Re: Shameless self promotion - history and pics
That's pretty cool that you've been involved with this! My only knowledge of the Thompson Square Riot in from the Anthony Bourdain : Parts Unknown episode about the Lower East Side, which is mostly about that area in the 70's and 80s. Oddly enough, that was his last episode ever made. He had whole s...

Re: strat setup question (preference?)
I've never had issues with the 2 point Strat tremolo and I usually float mine. Just enough to bend up a full step. I don't do any kind of crazy dives, though. I typically use the tremolo for rockabilly/psychobilly dives and for vibrato. The most extreme I get with a tremolo is Toadies type dives whi...

Re: Do you use your Strat like a Strat?
I have and used an HS strat (03 Fender MIA Strat with an SD Pearly Gates in bridge position and a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Blues in neck position) for a long time, but never really had an SSS strat until last December. It's a new MIM Fender Player II Strat. Awesome bang for buck Strat, IMO. I swappe...

Re: new fender standard
These are not Mexican made. They are made in Indonesia. It says it on the back of the headstock. I have a Jackson that was probably built where these are being built. It's a great playing guitar with decent hardware and stock pickups. Is at good as any of my other more expensive guitars? No, but for...
