I was 10 or 11 when that dropped so that didn’t happen for me lol. I do own the Pulse CD set and have watched the live DVD a few times. I keep saying I’m going to do a Strat build with the EMG set David was using then just because of that album and tour.

Yeah I like The Division Bell. It's not the best Pink Floyd album but that's a very high bar. It's an excellent album by any and all standards.

The Pulse live video changed my life. I'm just sad it took me until 2010 to see it. It was the reason I bought my first Civil War Muff from SUF. It's the reason I kick myself for not buying a real civil war muff when AMS had them for like $60 back in 1994. I thought fuzzes were stupid.
FWIW, a normal strat + Boss CE-2 + Russian Muff + any Overdrive, Pristine Delay, and Compression = instant Pulse.
It's amazing what a strat and a CE2 will do with a Russian Muff.
St Vincent Daddy's Home. I rotate between Daddy's Home and Masseduction. The Saturday Night Fever soundtrack has also made it back into my cars CD player.

But when the hour is nigh, and the lights are low, and I got a little toothpick of a shwag joint in my teeth, and my friends want to hear me play "Into the Void", or "TNT", "or "Cemetery Gates"...I plug my 600 dollar guitar into my 150 dollar amp, and I am a Rawk gawd.

Just after the above song ended, the Radio DJ played a spoken word recording made by Gus Bodenheim, philosopher and humorist. Click this link and go to 2:38:00 for a dissertation about the appropriation of flatulence humor by big media... https://wfmu.org/archiveplayer/?show=12 ... ive=236025

I was pumped as hell when I saw they had a new KEXP session. Their past sessions on there have been so good. I'm bummed I couldn't make it out to see their recent run doing three night stretches, one album a night.

Fuck yeah, killer band. Nice to see them get some love around here.
The Dirty Nil's album "Free Reign to Passions". Possibly one of the best new rock bands even though this is their 5th album...
