I was surprised by Fantastic Mr. Fox. When someone stuck it on I thought 'shoot me now', but it turned out to be much better than expected. Still haven't seen the Dark knight rises yet!

Well, I admittedly love Wes Anderson's movies, so I wasn't particularly surprised that I enjoyed it. :-B

The Dark Knight Rises is pretty much what you'd expect, I guess. I've been a Batman fan since I was a wee lad, though.

I found it strangely comforting and disturbing at the same time. All three brothers reminded me of myself in different ways, but listening to the brother that killed himself was like listening to someone speak my own thoughts. Spooky stuff.

A really candid portrait of a fucked up beyond belief family.

Charles was especially tragic IMO.

I wonder about the sister(s?) who refused to take part

I was wondering about that too, and also about what happened to the other brother. I would be surprised if he is still alive. I hope he is, of course.

Also, the movie was supposedly done filming in 1990 but not released until 1994 if I understand correctly. Maybe it was held up as they dealt with the suicide? Maybe it was held up because of the sisters?

:?

The Hobbit-8/10

Texas Chainsaw 3d- 3/10. (only 3 BC it payed a bit of tribute to the original. Other than that (and the lead actress being hot) it sucked. Not as bad as expected though.

Dont Go In The Woods. 0/10 . Worst MFPOMFS EVER. So bad, you have to see it for yourself.

Ted, 9/10 - not the funniest movie ever, but if you're a big S.M. fan and I actually like Mark Wahlberg a lot too, it was a pretty damn good movie. The best comedy to come out in some time.

Skyfall, 7/10 - I had some pretty huge fuggin' hopes for this movie after how much $$ it's made, how long it's been out, and that these Craig/Bond flicks have been stellar (yes I liked QoS a lot actually) I was kinda let down by this one. To me it was too long and drug out. Not nearly as much action as CR and QoS, IMO. I love Javier Bardem but thought the part and writing for his character sucked ass. They could've done a lot more instead of made him a bi/gay-ex-MI6 agent or whatever. Was surprised by the ending fo sho. However, Ralph Fiennes is a got damm genius so that part was rad. Looking forward to the next one.

Lincoln 7/10

Actually took a chick to it that was a major history buff. I liked it well enough but i thought it was a bit long. Daniel DAy-Lewis and Tommy Lee Jones were great though.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed Inglorious Basterds. How do they compare?

Hobbit - 6/10
Django - 9 (@ Yarbicus Inglorious is my current favorite i'd say 9.5 - but I love WW2 related movies, difficult to compare - but Dango does have a couple of scenes that are difficult to watch; I can't remember that with IB)
The Dark Knight Rises - 8.5
The Amazing Spiderman - 8 (better than expected since it is a reboot)

Jack Reacher - 6/10 - Not bad, not great, just meh.
Zero Dark Thirty - 7/10 - Fucking dark movie, 1/2 of the movie is just the CIA torturing people. I found it hard to watch.
Looper 8/10 - Decent
Dirty Gaping Anal Hookers 97 - 10/10
